OUT for Work
The San Diego Mesa College Career Center is a certified bronze member of OUT for Work.
Out for Work functions as a complimentary component in the total educational experience of LGBT students, primarily in the development, evaluation, initiation and implementation of career plans and opportunities. OFW's programs, resources and services provide assistance to students in the cultivation and enhancement of skills to explore career options, master search techniques and strategies and research employment opportunities.
The OUT for Work Library offers myriad of information and has pulled together the 88 very best articles, websites, and books covering the span of LGBTQ specific issues when entering and settling into the workplace. Some of the topics covered by OUT for Work's Library materials include the why's and how's of being out in the job search and on the job as well as the details of domestic partner benefits and corporate non-discrimination policies.
