March 8, 2010 - 4 weeks (approximate)
The Mesa College Drive underground utilities project is expected to last at least another four weeks. The City of San Diego have digging to complete that crosses all lanes of traffic on Mesa College Drive and though they must keep at least one lane open in each direction, there is no way to foresee which way traffic will be forced to merge on a daily basis.
It is recommended you use alternate routes to the Marlesta/Chasewood campus entrance and avoid congestion on Mesa College Drive.
Some examples of alternate routes:
From state route 163 north or south, exit on Genesee Ave west and turn right at the fourth traffic signal (Marlesta).
From 805 south you can take the Balboa Ave exit westbound and travel approximately 2 miles. Turn left on Genesee and then left on Marlesta Dr.
